Dekkers Transport Holland takes over Transport company André van Olst

Joining forces, thus offering customers, colleagues and drivers a stable future; that is what Dekkers and van Olst will be doing after successful negotiations in the run-up to the takeover.

Both companies specialise in the transport of day-old chicks and hatching eggs within Europe and beyond. Dekkers Transport has been active in the poultry sector since 1988, whilst 4 years later, in 1992, André van Olst started his company in the same branch. With over 30 years of experience within the branch, the two companies can be referred to as genuine specialists.

“The activities of both organisations seamlessly complement each other and the takeover will strengthen the market position”, Hans Dekkers, owner of Dekkers Transport, explains. There is agreement between both parties; collaboration will create a broader and more future-proof foundation. Joining forces fits the vision of Dekkers Transport, in order to serve the customer even better.

Important step

To Dekkers Transport, the takeover is an important step regarding the expansion and intensification of their activities. “Flexibility and being ready to serve the customer at any time is what it is all about”, says Hans Dekkers’ son Bram, who works at the company as a Logistics Manager. “Reliability and quality are the cores values of our organisation”, he continues. “This acquisition fits our enterprise’s ambition to be able to serve our customers even better.”

Branch in Wezep

The operation that is being controlled from the branch in Wezep will be continued”, Bram continues. ‘’Strategically, the present location in Wezep fits perfectly. The operational base is close to several customers and it is a nice base for the drivers. The strength of this organisation is in the employees, who are ready to help this company at any hour of the day.”

We aim to ensure that customers will not experience anything, except at the moment of the positive surprise”, he smiles. “We do our best to shape this on the basis of a collaboration between both organisations.”

The takeover will become effective as from late May and offers a splendid continuation for the customers and the staff of André van Olst. “We are happy to be able to offer customers and drivers a nice future perspective’’, Hans Dekkers contently concludes.
